If you know about an invasion, is it still a secret?
Riding high on the success of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, Marvel wants you to get amped about Secret Invasion. And for good reason! The forthcoming series which starts streaming on June 21st features killer talent with Olivia Coleman, Ben Mendelsohn, Don Cheadle, Martin Freeman, Emilia Clarke, Dermot Mulroney and of course, Samuel L. Jackson all taking part in a superhero-tinged spy thriller that feels more BBC than MCU.
The official synopsis tells us that "Secret Invasion is set in the present day MCU, and brings us back together with Nick Fury who learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity."
